Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Basedon Hasbro’s legendary Transformers and one of the most anticipated films of 2009 from Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen thrusts players into a battle for supremacy across the globe as either Autobots or Decepticons to drive, fly, fight and blast way through intense, pressure-packed levels. Overlord.II-RELOADED

OverlordTMII is the sequel to the hit warped fantasy action adventure that had players being delightfully despotic. In Overlord II, a new Overlord and a more powerful army of Minions take on an entire empire in a truly epic adventure, inspired by the rise of the roman of empire. As the Glorious Empire conquers kingdoms and destroys any sign of magic it finds, it's time to go Minion Maximus and send in the horde.

The Minions return smarter, deadlier (and funnier) and are ready to fight in large scale battles that will see their wild pack mentality squaring up to the organised legions of the Glorious Empire. As ever, they'll do anything and everything the Overlord commands of them, especially now that they can run ravage and wreck buildings and scenery. They've also learned how to ride: In Overlord II Minions will be able to mount up and ride wolves and other magical creatures around the landscape and take them into battle, making our band of merry fighters faster and fiercer than ever before.

Fallen Earth

We know it started in Asia, somewhere in India or Pakistan. A bunch of locals came down with some sort of virus that killed just about everyone who came into contact with it. Unfortunately, during the early stages, the virus was highly contagious and the infection was all but undetectable, so it spread fast. The later stages of it caused some sort of muscle contractions that looked like dancing, which reminded someone of a multi-armed Hindu god, and so it got named the Shiva Virus. Despite all the technology and wealth available, people died by the thousands. Then the nukes started going off. Not sure who started it or how, but within a few days, a good chunk of Southern Asia was irradiated wasteland. A couple of invasions and some more nukes later, and the whole world pretty much got screwed.

The beginning of the Fall is somewhat up for debate, but 2055 is the most common year cited. By the time the virus actually reached North America in 2056, war had broken out on the east coast between the United States Government and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, (which was supported by the United States military). By most accounts, the Fall was over by 2062, around the time of the death of the last President of the United States. At that point, every human being was locked away in some sealed bunker, an immune carrier of the Shiva Virus, or dead. It’s estimated that less than one out of one-hundred people survived the Fall, and even that sounds generous.

Around here, we had some additional problems, seeing as how a few nukes had hit the region (not sure who sent them) and a lot of the old Rothium kegs that were being used by GlobalTech to generate power were busted. The way the Techs tell it, the kegs were supposed to use heavy water to provide power; when rainwater got in them, they just spewed radioactive nanites. Few folks have a clue what all that means, but it’s obvious that radiation is still common throughout the region, and it does a good job of keeping people from reaching the outside world. There’re all sorts of nasty critters and radioactive storms just outside the Province, and they’re a good way to get yourself dead. For now, we’re stuck in the Grand Canyon Province. It could be worse… somehow…

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009-RELOADED

PES 2009 has been reworked from the ground up. New player models, AI elements and physics routines all combine to create the most advanced and realistic football game ever, but at the heart of PES 2009 are two new modes designed to make players rethink the way they approach the game.

‘PES Unites’ is the key phrase Konami is using to sum up the ethos of the new game. PES 2009 also improves on its many existing game modes and adds a number of new ways to play the game. Central to this is the new ‘Become a Legend’ solo mode, which casts the user as a midfielder or striker within a match. Using a default vertical camera view, the player starts as a rookie pro at the start of their career, and charts the many highs and lows of becoming a professional player. An extension of the popular ‘Fix’ mode, the ‘Become a Legend’ mode sees the player operate in their favoured attacking position, and work as part of the overall team as opposed to controlling every member as in a normal game.

If successful, the player must first cement their place in the starting line-up with strong performances, before catching the eye of bigger clubs and earning a move to top flight teams. Of course, results are everything in modern day football, and players must force their way into contention or face lengthy stints as a substitute or eventually be forced to take a step down to a smaller club if performances are not good enough. The ‘Become a Legend’ mode has already proved a massive hit in Japanese versions of PES since 2007, and is certain to enjoy similar status across Europe.

PES 2009 also boasts an online variant of the ‘Become a Legend’ mode, entitled simply ‘Legends.’ Players can use their saved player in online matches with like-minded friends, and can show their skills on the larger online stage.

Assassins Creed 2008

Few nonsequel games are the subject of as much hype as Assassin's Creed has been. While games like Halo 3 are expected to garner their share of the headlines, Ubisoft has done a great job of keeping Assassin's Creed in front of gamers during the run-up to its release, whether by its secrecy about the game's sci-fi storyline, its long-time silence on whether or not it would appear on the Xbox 360, or by the somewhat controversial decision to set the game in real cities of the Middle East during the Crusades, an era of history that has interesting lessons for today's world.

Of course, it shouldn't be implied that Assassin's Creed is coming out of nowhere; it is, after all, developed by the massively talented Ubisoft Montreal studio, creators of the Splinter Cell and updated Prince of Persia games. It builds on the combat systems of the Prince of Persia games and melds them with next-gen graphics and a taut style of acrobatic, open-ended gameplay for a game that's quite a bit of fun to play.

Kaos War

"Kaos War is played from a 3rd and 1st person perspective with fps and action style controls. Unlike most MMO games Kaos War delivers real time action, allowing the player to direct his weapons or powers in combat.

"The game offers a blend of melee weapons, ranged weapons and mystic powers and aims to balance out this blend by for example allowing melee weapons to be used to deflect certain attacks. (Although far from indefinitely) A leveled player character within Kaos War is based on a balance between opposing abilities, such as: Strength vs. Dexterity and Constitution vs. Agility. These abilities can be improved by simply using them, Strength for example being increased by wielding a sword and Dexterity by using a handgun.

An advanced morphing system causes the physique of your character to reflect his or her abilities.
